Private & Semi Private Yoga Lessons
You have an established practice. You know where you're going. You want to get on the mat, breathe, flow, stretch and strengthen. We will move swiftly and precisely through a dynamic & athletic sequence, addressing alignment issues and helping to alleviate any old injuries or bad habits, and have you fixed up and ready to go in 60 minutes.
Ashtanga Yoga is a strong Vinyasa practice, which includes a fixed series of Yoga postures that unfold in a dynamic sequence. A system of breath, movement and concentration, this practice is meant to be learned piecemeal, over a period of weeks, and will help to align the spine, open the hips and bring about peak physical and mental wellness and balance.
Jivamukti (90 mins)
Created by Sharon Gannon and David Life, Jivamukti Yoga combines strong Vinyasa sequences; Yoga philosophy and scriptures; meditation; vegetarianism and activism.
Beginner’s Cycle (60 mins)
Learn the ABC’s of Yoga in a private setting. In 10 sessions, you will practice and come to understand the proper breathing technique, optimal alignment of basic standing postures, and begin to practice Sun Salutations and Vinyasa. After completing 1 Beginner’s Cycle, you notice marked improvement in your understanding of how to practice Yoga postures, and you will be able to hold your own in any Yoga class.
Restorative / Therapeutic (60mins)
Sometimes less is more. Experience a gentle and healing style of Yoga, practicing only a handful of postures and making use of props to bring about a state of relaxation and engender a healing process. If you are healing from an injury or illness, or need assistance in centering and calming the body and mind, this is the style for you.
Thyroid Balancing (60 mins)
Do you suffer from Thyroid imbalance or disease? Recalibrate with a powerful protocol that will not only stimulate healing of the thyroid gland, but will help to balance metabolism and align the energetic systems of the body. We will also go over optimal nutrition and diet.
Led Meditation (75 mins)
This is so much fun!!! We discuss philosophy, chant Sanskrit Mantras then sit quietly for 30 mins and end with comments and discussion, maybe a cup of tea. Mediation is one of the hardest things to commit to on your own. It is much easier to build your mediation muscles with the support and communal experience of a group setting.
